The Nominees for the III CannaPortugal Global Cannabis Awards, that will be held on May 16, 2025, in Lisbon, are:

Kelly Dunn and Josh Sarvis - Dragonfly Earth Medicine (DEM), Canada

Founders of Dragonfly Earth Medicine, pioneers in sustainable agriculture and organic cannabis cultivation.

Contributions: Through their initiatives, DEM Pure Certification has played a crucial role in promoting regenerative farming techniques, biodiversity, and organic practices within the global cannabis industry.

Professor Tanja Bagar, Researcher and Educator, Alma Mater Europaea University, Slovenia

Background: ICANN Institut President, researcher, educator, and international speaker in the field of cannabinoids.

Unifesp/MovReCam - Online Extension Course on "The Therapeutic Use of Cannabis sativa L."

This award honors the courage of Father Ticão and Professor Elisaldo Carlini, who, by creating the first free course on medicinal cannabis in the outskirts of São Paulo, turned the project into a global reference in cannabis education. It is also an international acknowledgment of the outstanding work performed voluntarily by professors and collaborators from distinctive institutions and Brazilian social movements across 14 editions of this free online training program. The Therapeutic Use of Cannabis Sativa L has since been recognized as the world's largest free project, in Portuguese, for democratizing knowledge about cannabis.Congratulations to everyone involved!
