10th Anniversary
VI CannAzores + IV CannaPortugal
About the Event
The Transatlantic Celebration marks a milestone as the 10th event organized from the Azores, uniting two Portuguese flagship initiatives: the IV edition of CannaPortugal International Expo, previously held at the Lisbon Congress Centre and the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, and the VI edition of CannAzores Forum, whose earlier editions took place on São Miguel and Terceira islands.
More than an event, the Transatlantic Celebration is an open and inclusive platform connecting the entire hemp and cannabis value chain — from seed to market. Built on knowledge, collaboration, and accessibility, it brings together professionals, researchers, policymakers, businesses, and the public in the spirit of sharing and innovation.
This democratic vision is made possible through the commitment of our sponsors, partners, speakers, honorees, and contributors, making the Azores the ideal meeting point for a truly transatlantic celebration.
Venue
Associação Agrícola de S. Miguel
S. Miguel, Açores, Portugal
Associação Agrícola de São Miguel, the venue of our event, is the largest agricultural association in Portugal and a key institution of the Azores’ primary sector.
It is a leading national and international reference for conferences, exhibitions, trade fairs, and institutional events, offering highly versatile infrastructure designed for diverse professional and institutional gatherings.
The venue includes auditoriums, exhibition halls, meeting and training rooms, dedicated exhibitor areas, and integrated hospitality services, making it a strategic platform that connects São Miguel and the Azores to global markets and international networks.
São Miguel Island
“The Green Island” · Capital of Culture 2026
São Miguel, the largest island of the Azores, is in 2026 the Capital of Culture. Referred to as “The Green Island”, due to its fertile landscapes, volcanic lakes, and agricultural heritage, it is also the economic and demographic center of the archipelago, combining tradition with modern development.
The island is internationally recognized for its natural ecosystems, geothermal energy production, sustainable agriculture, and growing capacity to host international conferences and events. São Miguel offers a unique balance between natural preservation and infrastructural accessibility, making it an ideal destination for global gatherings focused on sustainability, science, and innovation.
